SSG
Most of us know what MSG is, but do we know what SSG is?

We live in a very busy and information-saturated world which often causes us to misread or not hear what others are trying to communicate. As leaders we want to prevent brain overload and misinterpretation in our listeners. Therefore, we need to speak with intent, so our employees and family members can easily process the information. Neuroscience tells us, if we remember to use SSG when we communicate, our message is more likely to stick and therefore be heard. Be Succinct, Specific and Generous. We want to use fewer words (Succinct) and be precise (Specific) in our communication while using meaningful (Generous) words that will create a positive impact on our listeners. SSG helps build trust through clear and transparent communication.

While writing this, I realized SSG would be a great way to communicate with our teenagers, young adults and partners. I know my hubby would especially appreciate the succinct component of SSG.

A little more SSG, please!
