Leaders

I was at a conference a few weeks ago and I heard a great quote that I thought deserved sharing. “Great leaders walk slowly through the crowd”. I am sorry to say I do not remember who said it as it is significant for all of us walking through this life. How often are we so focused on our task or role that we do not notice what is occurring all around us.  Great leaders stop and talk to the people who are part of their organization and their world. They take the time to be curious and ask questions. These leaders understand the importance of noticing people and their surroundings. It is not all about them, but the people who make up their world. Relationships are important and great leaders understand they need to take the time to build them in order to create an emotionally healthy and productive culture.

We are all leaders in some way so are we stopping and noticing what is around us! Are we saying thanks... I see you and I acknowledge your contribution! We all want to be noticed and acknowledged!
